Four teams. Two countries. One shared sky

On 12 August 2026, millions of people turned their eyes to the sky to witness one of the most eagerly anticipated astronomical events of recent years. 

At Newline Interactive Europe, we wanted to share this historic moment with some of the people who are part of our universe. That is why we sent certified eclipse-viewing glasses to the teams at Esprinet Ibérica and MCR in Spain, and Avion in Finland. 

Separated by thousands of kilometres but connected under the same sky, our partners took a short break from their working day, stepped outside, put on their glasses and shared an experience that will be difficult to repeat. 

Different Places, Different Ways of Experiencing It 

The eclipse was experienced from different perspectives in Spain and Finland. The conditions, surroundings and visibility were not exactly the same, but all the teams shared one thing: the excitement of being part of an extraordinary event. 

There was anticipation, curiosity, smiles, group photos and, of course, more than one attempt to find the perfect angle while wearing the eclipse glasses. 

After all, it is not every day that the Newline Universe steps away from its screens for a few minutes to look directly at the sky. 

A Moment Bigger Than the Screen 

At Newline, we create technology designed to connect people, share ideas and enable more collaborative experiences. 

However, some moments are even bigger than the screen. 

The eclipse on 12 August reminded us of the importance of pausing, looking around us and sharing an experience with the people who are part of our everyday lives. 

It also reminded us that a community is not built through projects, products or meetings alone. It is built by sharing moments, celebrating together and creating memories that extend far beyond the professional world.
