Newline is committed to and dedicated to promoting the responsible procurement of products containing tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, cobalt, mica, and other raw materials. We respond to the commitments of the EICC (Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition) and GeSI (Global e-Sustainability Initiative) Joint Working Group to improve conditions in the electronics supply chain and do not accept mining activities that could fuel conflicts. According to the requirements of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, we disclose and report the usage and sources of tin, tantalum (coltan), gold, and tungsten in our products.
Newline has established a risk-based responsible mineral management system, integrating responsible minerals into our procurement CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) management system, and embedding it into supplier certification and supervision audits. As a downstream company in the mineral supply chain, newline does not directly purchase minerals. newline requires its suppliers not to purchase conflict minerals and extends this requirement to their upstream suppliers to prevent and reduce any direct or indirect contributions to human rights violations, environmental harm, health and safety risks, and corruption related to the minerals in their products.
Newline adopts the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) establish “Conflict Mineral Control Management Measures”，and collaborates with upstream and downstream enterprises in the supply chain to conduct supply chain investigations. We require suppliers to investigate and identify smelters step by step, ensuring that smelters do not purchase minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRA). We identify the list of smelters and regularly publish this information.
Newline冲突矿产管理
Newline承诺并致力于推动以负责任的方式采购含锡、钽、钨、金、钴、云母等原材料的产品，响应EICC和GeSI（全球电子可持续发展倡议）联合工作组的承诺改善电子供应链的条件，不接受可以助长冲突的采矿活动。及《多德-弗兰克保护法》条例要求披露及报告有关产品内所使用的锡、钽（钶钽铁矿）、金、钨的情况及其来源。newline建立了基于风险的责任矿产管理体系，将责任矿产作为采购CSR管理体系的组成部分，融入供应商认证和监督审核。作为矿产供应链下游企业，newline不直接采购矿产。newline要求供应商不采购冲突矿产，并将这一要求延伸至其上级供应商，防范和减少其产品所含的矿产以直接或间接的方式助长侵犯人权、危害环境、损害健康安全及滋生腐败等行为。
Newline采用冲突矿产报告模板（CMRT），制定《冲突矿产控制管理办法》，与供应链上下游企业合作开展供应链调查，要求供应商逐级调查识别冶炼厂，要求冶炼厂不得采购来自受冲突影响和高风险地区（CAHRA）的矿产，识别冶炼厂清单并定期公开。
