  5. Fixed the issue that the stopwatch in Classroom tools could only max time to 39:59:9.

Lyra Series (21Q 8GB)

IMPROVEMENTS

  1. Added separate switches for left and right Toolbar in Quick setting. Matching Toolbar status in Quick setting and settings.
  2. Added the Auto sleep feature in Settings> Power
  3. Added a switch for Guest profile to clear data in Admin mode. When enabled, logging out of the Guest profile will clear all cache and login information.
  4. Added a switch for Guest profile to install APPs in Admin mode. When enabled, Guest Profile will be able to install APKs.
  5. Added the Screen Recording app. The behavior of the panel can be recorded.
  6. Added the date format of MM/DD/YYYY.

Newline Engage Cloud

As a continuously evolving #teacherdesigned platform, we keep adding new enhancements, all requested by teachers from across the world.

Most recently, we added the following features to make teaching even more effective and engaging no matter where students and teachers are located:

New Feature Additions:

  1. Speech to Text for Young Kids: A teacher can now place a Speech to Text button for young kids to simply press and transcribe their answers on their boards.
  2. Drag and Drop Files Directly to Your Board: Newline Engage Cloud now supports drag and drop of any file – audio, video, PDFs, images, GIFs – directly to your board. 
  3. Play Wordle (Chatle): A teacher can now place Newline Engage Cloud’s own implementation of Wordle – we call it Chatle – on the board for students to play. Teacher can select the word or allow a random selection from the library. They can also observe students playing the game in real-time under Grid View. 
  4. Auto Place Value Chart with Math Cards: We have combined the power of Math Cards with Place Value Chart. Now as your students combine or break-down numbers, it will fill the place value chart automatically. 
  5. Full Screen Mode: Newline Engage Cloud is now available in Full Screen Mode. 
  6. Formatted Text: We added a new “Formatted Text” option for you to write/edit text at Newline Engage Cloud. 
  7. Pivot an Object: Now you can not only rotate an object, but also change the pivot point of its rotation. 

Newline Engage Suite

New Features: Classroom Tools Dice, Turntable and Clock is now available.

  1. Dice The canvas supports the addition of up to 9 dice. Dice can be presented as points, letters, and pictures, also support for customizing the style of the dice.
  2. Turntable The Turntable tool can be customized with fill text and colors. Add up to 12 categories. Click START to start the Turntable.
  3. Clock Up to three clocks can be placed in the canvas. Supported time zones are local time: New York, Los Angeles, Madrid, London, Paris, Moscow, Sydney, Beijing, Tokyo, Berlin.
  4. Subjects New currencies Pound Sterling, Japanese Yan and Chinese Yuan is now available.

Newline Cast+

Android receiver modification point (v7.5.0323):

[CA Big Screen] Setting close button has no shadow.

[CA Big Screen] When not connected, the statement below the device list on the left is not consistent with the UI.

[Uploading files] When uploading word, excel, ppt files from cell phone or computer APP, the big screen can’t view them, and a pop-up window will appear.

[Uploading files] When uploading PDF files on cell phone or computer APP, the big screen will flash the file interface and then return to the cast interface.

Under DLNA casting, it will quit casting after using freeze screen, annotation and screenshot during casting.

When airplay casting, open YouTube for video airplay casting, it keeps showing black screen loading interface.

Webcast casting, adjusting the volume of the big screen has no effect, the sound remains unchanged

Switch Broadcast and webcast environment to official environment.

Broadcast web-side modification point (1.1.320):

[MAC &Win- broadcast] Enter the broadcast page, set the drop-down box missing language settings, see figure

[broadcast] Enter the ID and click the browser refresh button, the URL shows the eshare icon.

[23QAS – broadcast] After connecting to the big screen, click expand more or close more in the upper right corner of the broadcast, the cursor is displayed in the lower part of the screen.

[23QAS – broadcast] Upper left corner of the setup function template and UI is not consistent, see picture.

[CA – webcast/broadcast] The webcast/broadcast screen still shows the 6-digit ID.

[Win-broadcast] Win11 computer into the broadcast, small probability of displaying a green screen, this time the large screen display normal

iOS modification point (v1.2.8):

[iOS, Android phones] When displaying pictures, pictures in landscape are not fully displayed in the preview image at the bottom

[CA-Big Screen] iOS cell phones change the device name, the big screen still shows iPhone.

[CA-Android, iOS-Client] In remote control, after clicking OK, it will jump to the top, see video.

Mac client modification points (v1.2.0308):

[MAC] When the computer APP is in view full screen mode, when the big screen side is disconnected, the computer APP will still show the full screen view status, and will not be disconnected.

Android client modification point (v7.5.323):

[iOS, Android] Apple enter APP, click any APP to enter into remote control interface, click back to return to APP interface; Android click any APP to enter into remote control interface, click back to return to the main interface, both are not unified

[iOS, Android] Apple APP name is displayed in full, while Android is not.

[Big screen-Android phone] Android phone probability of connection is not displayed on the big screen, at this time all the functions can not be used normally, and the device displayed on the Android phone is also displayed abnormally.

[Android phone] Moderator pop-up window inviting other devices to cast screen has no effect

[Android APP] Probabilistic mirroring reverse control display black screen

[23QAS-Android phone] Probabilistic view interface shows black screen

[Android-Client] Android phone external sharing files selected cast open display blank interface, and will be the cell phone will be disconnected from the big screen side

[Android-Client] Remote control on the phone shows the volume button on the big screen, the actual big screen has sound on, but the cell phone has been showing no volume, manually adjusted to show the same.

[Android-Client] The Apps of Remote control on the cell phone can’t draw a line on the whiteboard on the big screen, but it shows the touch points.

[CA-Android-Client] The photos saved in Live are in a different folder from the photos saved in Screenshot, but the folder name is the same, please confirm.

[CA-Android-Client] In live, turn off the camera but not the microphone, no sound on the big screen.

[CA-Android-Phone] Android phone mirror control, handwriting color is not selected.

[Android-Client] Select photo sharing when sharing pictures, horizontal screen shooting, the photo taken shows more serious stretching, see video

This update reduces the network complexity, requiring only one port to be open. This port should already be open on all but the strictest networks (port 443). Meaning, users will find it easier to get Broadcast up and running within their networks.

In this latest release, we are focusing on enhancing user experience by putting the control back in the presenter’s hands. We’re delighted to introduce Broadcasting functionality to improve content visibility as well as Remote Control, allowing full management of the main display from a device.

Broadcasting the Display

We’re introducing new functionality into your screen sharing experience, by letting users wirelessly share their screens, and then broadcast out to other devices. Ensuring a simpler user experience, improved visibility for audiences, and the opportunity to expand the hardware utilized in any screen sharing session.

Broadcasting to participants

Broadcasting to participants will allow a presenter or educator to connect to a session, start a broadcast, and then simply share their content. The audience can then join the session and view the shared content live from their device. Broadcasting works silently in the background. Giving users access to shared content, without distracting presenters who can continue talking through their ideas.

Broadcasting to other displays

Broadcasting will be going one step further, by allowing multiple displays to connect and broadcast out your content. Meaning presenters can make the most of the hardware in the room and ensure everyone gets a clear view of their content. Broadcasting to other displays connects each display through their Screen Sharing session ID. Creating cohesion between the hardware and software in the room. Users continue to interact with the main screen, with the actions duplicated across all connected displays.

A Broadcast icon will be available at the bottom of a Screen Sharing home screen, where, once enabled, a user can choose to broadcast to participants, other displays, or both.

More flexibility starts with Remote Control

We’re putting the control in the user’s hands, with Screen Sharing Remote Control*. Not only will a user be able to interact and navigate the screen sharing session from their device but control the entire display allowing the user to access the display’s main home screen, other apps, and tools all from their device.

Remote Controlling gives full functionality to the user from their device, whether that is setting up their screen sharing session, opening other apps, or interacting with the content of someone invited to present. Giving presenters the confidence to control a session and the freedom to do so from anywhere in the room.

*Remote control requires the application to be signed with a system signature.

Safe Remote Controlling

To ensure only educators and presenters are in control of the display, Remote Control can only be enabled if a session is joined through Connect as a Teacher. Giving peace of mind that actions can be carried out quickly, only from the intended user’s device.

Display Options in Settings

All new features can be enabled in the Settings menu under the newly listed Display Options. Once enabled, users will be able to select the Broadcast icon at the bottom of the home screen to broadcast out to participants, other displays, or both. They’ll also see the remote control option on their device’s home screen once connected.

This update sees fixes to Kiosk mode and launching MS Teams calls. Increasing the measure of security Kiosk mode provides, while improving the window management within MS Teams when minimizing unexpectedly.

  1. Fixes a bug where Kiosk mode occasionally disables itself on startup.
  2. Addresses a problem where a Microsoft Teams call is disrupted by Launch Control bringing itself to the foreground.
