Ikskiles Secondary School is one of the biggest schools in Latvia. School is more than 50 years old. In year 2018 new primary school extension was opened. Totally, there are 43 classes and 18 of them are class 1 -4. Each year the amount of students is growing. In school year 2019/2020 there are 1067 students and 87 teachers.

THE CHALLENGE

Ikskiles Secondary School needed more interactive and collaborative tools to improve the study process and attention of students in elementary and high school. Interactive screens were the best solution to replace old projectors and to complement the new primary school expansion.

THE SOLUTION

Newline’s interactive displays were installed on the walls of the classroom and in the corridor. There is another one in the methodical room where teachers have meetings.

THE RESULTS

The screens are used during the lessons to show, present and explain the topics to the students in an easier way. Newline’s screens are a tool with which students pay more attention during the lessons and improve their participation. The administration and teachers use the screens to share information and to document and involve colleagues in the discussion.
