Colegios Ramón y Cajal is an educational institution committed to the academic and human education of every single student. Offering a wide range of education program from the age of 0 to 18, they strive for the students to be well prepared for their future with professions and creativity.
Challenge
The school wanted to apply the state-of-the-art technology in their pre-school education program to attract and interact with kids. They were looking for an interactive solution to replace the traditional projectors and whiteboards.
Solution
Several 65-inch Newline TRUTOUCH IB series interactive displays were installed in the common classrooms. Teachers used the display to play videos, show pictures, utilize online resources to create an engaging learning environment for pre-school children. The non-proprietary system allowed teachers to use their preferred program. With the familiar Windows on-board computer, teachers could store their class materials in the displays without hassle.
Results
Teachers were able to prepare multi-media material for students such as videos and flash games. With the easy-to-use embedded annotation tools, children could write, using their fingers or stylus, over any content; drawing, writing characters, circle the answer following teacher’s instruction.
The display also allowed multi students to write and touch. Children enjoyed interact with the display, and they became more focus during the class, all because of the great interaction and the engagement.
“We had the projector to project everything from the computer. But it’s better with touchscreens because the kids can actually touch it and do work by themselves.”
